R65 and ECE R10 Highways Certification
R65 Certification - What is R65?
ECE R65 is designed to ensure compliance with key standards related to light output, colour, light dispersion, and flash frequency. It also evaluates heat resistance, water ingress, and cold start performance. ECE R65 tests are conducted under controlled laboratory conditions, ensuring that every beacon, light bar, or directional lamp meets the specified criteria for light intensity and dispersion in accordance with ECE standards.
ECE R10 Certification - What is ECE R10
ECE R10 requirements focus on protecting the driver, passengers, and other road users from radiated and conducted disturbances emitted by light products. This ensures that electronic devices can function properly in an electrical environment without causing interference with other devices or being affected by external interference.
Our shop offers products that are both R10 and R65 approved, ensuring that we provide you with certified and approved lighting solutions for your vehicles, helping to keep you safe on the roads.
CE Certification
Before being sold in the EU, many products must have a CE mark. This mark shows that the manufacturer has evaluated the product and confirmed it complies with EU safety, health, and environmental protection standards. It applies to products made anywhere in the world that are intended for sale in the EU.
UKCA Certification
The UKCA marking (short for UK Conformity Assessed) is a certification that signifies compliance with the relevant requirements for products sold within Great Britain. It was introduced to replace the CE marking for products in Great Britain, though both marks are still accepted in the UK market.
IP Ratings - What is IP?
Ingress Protection (IP) ratings indicate a device's resistance to solids and water. These ratings are based on the international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992 – Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code) and European IEC 60509:1989 – Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code).
Below are the IP ratings we attribute to our various products and an explanation as per the rating of each. More details of a products rating will be found underneath each item under the sub header "Certifications"
